A Healthy Living !

I have been trying to get back on the right track to a healthy lifestyle. The motivation has been very tough at times, but I have continued to push myself and tell myself that “I Can DO This!”

I am any two weeks back into the gym. The mental feeling is such a great feeling! I feel like I am more upbeat and not so sluggish! I have laid off of my beer intake ( I love porters and stouts!) but the effect of the beer really takes a tole on my physical abilities, such as fatigue and bloating. So, I have stepped into a forever love for Merlot(Red Wine) Speaking of red wine, they say a glass a day is good for the heart… Which means, I must have a VERY healthy heart.

My goal for my body:

I want to be “Lean and Mean”! Targeting all my muscle groups that I feel like I need to perfect and focus on. I have been really focusing on abs and glutes, but my favorite muscles groups are biceps, back and shoulders!

To tell you a little about last year… I started at 151lbs. To me I felt not so confident about my appearance. I know… others would say, ” Brit, you look great!”, but no matter the compliments and the positive feedback I was just not satisfied. Unfortunately, I can say that I lost a lot of weight (20lbs to be exact) in a very unhealthy way. With my job, there are a lot of hours, a lot of stress and an unhealthy diet because of how busy I was, not to mention the lack of sleep. I can remember a week where I got a total of 4hrs… It was rough.. but I still enjoyed every moment of it, for it is a dream come true to be able to do what I love everyday!

So this year I am doing it the right way! As hard is it may be at times with my schedule.

I have been doing light weights and more reps to tone. Somedays I will start doing where I SMACK MY MUSCLES and do heavy weights and less reps to break the muscle down so I can make them grow!

So from here on out, I am going on a mission to be better, be healthier and one FIT BRIT! I have to create a healthier mindset as well for myself, so I wake up each day telling myself, ” I am going to be healthy, fit, and badass!”
